AMARILLO, TX (09/04/2016) — Aisling Martinez lost her life in a motorcycle crash on Sunday morning.
According to authorities, 32-year-old Aisling Christine Martinez was killed in a motorcycle accident that occurred at the intersection of 45th Avenue and South Georgia Street in Amarillo, Texas.
Police stated that at around 12:30 a.m., 24-year-old Trevor Dee Boales was traveling in a white pickup truck when he struck Martinez’s southbound 2013 Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
Martinez was taken to a nearby area hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
Boales fled the scene after the collision, but was later captured. He was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter and accident causing injury or death.
The Amarillo Police Department is conducting an investigation.
Commentary
Aside from the two charges that this driver is already facing, he may also get charged with failing to stop and render aid since he fled the scene after the collision.
