AMARILLO, TX (07/25/2015) — A crash in Carson County claimed the life of 22-year-old Stephanie Amos, and injured three others including 62-year-old Jim Tom Smith.
According to the Department of Public Safety (DPS), Stephanie A. Amos, 22, was killed and Jim Tom Smith, 62, was injured following a two-vehicle crash on Highway 207 in Carson County, Texas Saturday evening.
An investigation indicated that shortly before 9:00 p.m., 23-year-old Michael Thomas Trahan was traveling northbound in a 2012 Chevrolet Impala when he drifted into the southbound lanes and struck a 2012 Toyota Tacoma, driven by Smith.
Smith was transported to Northwest Texas Hospital (NWTH) in stable condition.
Trahan’s passenger, Stephanie Amos (of Lake Charles, Louisiana), was pronounced dead at scene. Trahan and his other passenger, a 6-month-old child, were also taken to NWTH in stable condition.
This fatal car accident remains under investigation.
