DALLAS, TX (01/30/2016) — A light pole struck a passenger car along the Dallas North Tollway, which claimed the life of Ammar Zaidi on Saturday night.
According to police, 28-year-old Ammar Zaidi was killed after a light pole fell down onto the Dallas North Tollway at the site of a separate accident in Dallas, Texas.
According to Department of Public Safety (DPS) spokesman Lonny Haschel, at around 11:30 p.m., a vehicle was traveling northbound on the tollway when it veered onto the shoulder and struck a light pole.
The impact caused the light pole to fall and strike a Subaru BRZ, driven by Zaidi, who lost his life in the car accident.
At least four other vehicles struck the pole, however, no other injuries were reported.
An investigation is ongoing.
