BAYTOWN, TX (07/25/2015) — An 18-wheeler crash killed Karen McBroom and Renee Baxley, and sent one other person to the hospital on Saturday.
According to authorities, Renee Baxley, 49, and Karen McBroom, 40, were killed on Saturday after their vehicle crashed into an 18-wheeler at the intersection of Texas 99 and Kilgore Parkway in Baytown, Texas.
Texas State Trooper Richard Standifer stated that Baxley was driving her Chevrolet Malibu when she ran a stop sign and collided with an 18-wheeler.
The wreck claimed the life of Baxley and one of her passengers, Karen McBroom.
Baxley’s second passenger was transported to a nearby area hospital for treatment of injuries.
