Wichita Falls, Texas — 23-year-old Bryan Soderstrom is hospitalized in critical condition following a Sunday evening (11/17/2013) car-vs-motorcycle accident.
According to police, a 17-year-old male was driving a silver Toyota Echo southbound on Fairway Blvd, when he attempted to turn into the Market Street shopping center. Bryan Soderstrom was riding a white Harley-Davidson Shadow northbound on Fairway when the two vehicles collided. The accident took place just after 6:00 p.m. close to Belair Blvd.
Mr. Soderstrom was transported by ambulance to United Regional Hospital in critical condition. Police have said that Soderstrom has had surgery, and still remains in critical condition.
At first glance, the pictures and statements released by police seem to indicate that the driver of the Toyota Echo must have crossed the path of Mr. Soderstrom. While this may or may not be true, there are several other factors that may come into play when determining liability for an accident such as this. While the police are continuing their investigation, the victim’s family may want to look into hiring a law firm to conduct a free 3rd-party investigation. Often-times the police investigations do not cover aspects of liability and fault, but rather simply “what happened?”
