ELECTRA, TX (07/13/2016) — Chad Lewis remains hospitalized in critical condition after a single-vehicle wreck on Wednesday morning.
According to authorities, 30-year-old Chad Lewis was seriously injured following a rollover accident that occurred on FM 367 near Highway 25 in Electra, Texas.
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) reported that at around 8:00 a.m., 21-year-old Cameron Lee Thompson was traveling westbound in a GMC pickup truck when he allegedly swerved to miss wildlife on the road. The maneuver caused the truck to rollover several times.
Lewis, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was ejected. He was taken to United Regional, where he remains in critical condition.
The DPS stated that Thompson was also taken to United Regional for treatment of minor injuries; he has since been released.
