KILGORE, TX (12/11/2016) — A two-vehicle accident on Sunday morning killed Chaise McNeal and left two others injured.
Police identified 26-year-old Chaise Lee McNeal Jr. (of Longview) as the fatal victim of an accident which occurred in the 500 block of Highway 31 West (TX-31) in Kilgore, Texas.
Authorities reported that at around 1:00 a.m., 33-year-old Leonardo Rivera (of Kaufman) was traveling westbound in a black 2016 GMC 1-ton pickup truck (towing a livestock trailer) prior to the collision. McNeal was driving eastbound on TX-31 a white 2002 Cadillac Deville.
The two vehicles collided head-on, and McNeal lost his life at the scene.
Rivera and his passenger—33-year-old Andreas Gomez (of Kaufman)—sustained non-life threatening injuries, and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
An investigation is ongoing.
