WICHITA FALLS, TX (01/14/2015) — 96-year-old Charlie Stewart has died following an auto accident caused by a red light runner last week.
It has been reported that Charlie Stewart, who was injured in a North Texas car accident last week, has died from his injuries.
On the afternoon of January 14th, Charlie Stewart (of Wichita Falls) was driving his blue Buick LeSabre eastbound on Galveston Street, when the driver of a northbound red Dodge Durango allegedly ran a red light and caused a T-bone accident at the intersection of Jacksboro Highway and Galveston Street.
The accident pinned 96-year-old Charlie Stewart in his vehicle for a short time, but he was eventually taken by ground ambulance to United Regional Hospital in Wichita Falls. One week later, on January 21st, Mr. Stewart passed away from injuries sustained in the crash. The driver and passenger of the Dodge Durango were reportedly uninjured in the collision.
This marks the first car accident fatality in Wichita Falls this year.
