BEAUMONT, TX (01/24/2016) — Clinton Meadows was killed, and his wife was injured, when a drunk driver struck their vehicle on Sunday night.
Officials have identified 25-year-old Clinton Meadows as the victim of a fatal auto-pedestrian accident that occurred along Interstate 10 near Laurel Avenue in Beaumont, Texas.
According to authorities, at around 10:00 p.m., Meadows had pulled over to check a flat tire on his wife’s vehicle when a Ford Escape—driven by Kendrick McCloney—struck him.
The impact caused the Escape to rollover and land on its roof.
Meadows lost his life in the wreckage. His wife sustained injuries.
Beaumont police arrested McCloney and charged him with intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault. He is currently being held on bonds totaling to $500,000.
