KILLEEN, TX (10/24/2016) — A two-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle claimed the life of Danielle Rivera on Monday night.
Authorities have identified 20-year-old Danielle Rivera as the victim of a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred in the 4400 block of Stagecoach Road in Killeen, Texas.
Police reported that at around 6:00 p.m., the driver of a 2013 Dodge Charger was traveling westbound when he or she attempted to turn left into a Mickey’s Convenience Store. During the maneuver, an approaching, eastbound 2016 Indian motorcycle—driven by Rivera—was not able to stop in time and collided with the Dodge.
Rivera was taken to Seton Medical Center Harker Heights Hospital and later flown to Baylor Scott and White Hospital, where she died from her injuries.
Officials stated that the occupants of the Dodge were not injured in the wreck.
An investigation is ongoing.
