ABILENE, TX (04/06/2016) — An accident involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck on Wednesday evening has left two men, David Layton and Jacob Langford, injured.
The Abilene Police Department (APD) identified 25-year-old David Layton and 18-year-old Jacob Langford as the victims of a motorcycle accident that happened along Sayles Boulevard in Abilene, Texas.
Police reported that at around 8:40 p.m., 64-year-old David Helm in his pickup truck and exited a Sonic Drive-in located in the 2400 block of Sayles Boulevard, when police he failed to yield right-of-way to a 2007 Suzuki motorcycle, driven by Layton.
The impact injured Layton and his passenger, Langford. Both were taken to Hendrick Medical Center for treatment.
Langford was treated and released. Layton remains hospitalized, however, he has been listed in good condition.
