Fort Worth — Police are asking for the public’s help in finding the driver of a Jaguar involved in a fatal pedestrian hit & run accident in Fort Worth early Saturday morning (11/02/2013).
Initial reports are that 63-year-old Douglas (Doug) Tunnell was struck and killed at the 3100 block of Alta Mere Drive in Fort Worth while crossing the road on foot at around 1:15 a.m.
Based on debris at the scene, investigators are looking for a 2000-2003 silver four-door Jaguar S-Type sedan with damage to the right front corner — including the right side outside mirror.
Mr. Tunnell was transported to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, and at at 7:50 a.m. he was pronounced dead. Ft. Worth police are asking that anyone with information about the vehicle involved to call Crime Stoppers at 817-469-TIPS, or via the website at 469tips.com.
