TERRELL, TX (07/01/2015) — A pedestrian, 44-year-old L.B. Williams, was seriously injured on Wednesday after being struck by a drunk driver.
The Terrell Police Department has confirmed that 44-year-old L.B. Williams was seriously injured early Wednesday morning after he was struck by a vehicle in the 900 block of South Rockwall Avenue in Terrell, Texas.
According to Terrell Police Department Captain A.D. Sansom, at around 12:30 a.m., 43-year-old Antonio Harris was traveling southbound on Rockwall Avenue in a pewter-colored Cadillac when he struck Williams, who was walking in the road.
Williams was taken via CareFlite to Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas with serious but non-life-threatening injures to his lower leg and head.
Sansom stated that Harris was arrested for intoxication assault and was been booked into the Terrell City Jail after consenting to a blood test.
The results for the blood draw are pending, and this incident remains under investigation.
