FORT WORTH, TX (01/28/2018) — Police say that a drunk driver traveling the wrong-way southbound West Loop 820 early Sunday morning caused an accident that claimed the life of 21-year-old Moses Elizondo.
Officers were called to the scene of an accident at the 1600 block of West Loop 820 south at about 5:30 a.m. Sunday morning. According to reports, 21-year-old Moses Elizondo was driving a 2004 Toyota southbound on West Loop 820 when his vehicle was struck head-on by a 2014 BMW traveling the wrong way.
Elizondo was tragically pronounced deceased at the scene. The wrong-way driver, identified as 31-year-old Cesar Romero, was hospitalized with minor injuries, but faces a charge of intoxication manslaughter.
