AMARILLO, TX (08/09/2015) – Three men were injured after an early morning, single vehicle, drunk driving crash on Sunday.
According to the Amarillo Police Department, Adam Alexander Ceballos and Richard Leon Ochoa II, both 25, and a third unidentified male victim, were all injured after a single vehicle crash at the intersection of 6th Street and Harrison Avenue in Amarillo, Texas early Sunday morning.
The APD stated that at around 7:45 a.m., a red 2008 Cadillac crashed into a traffic signal support pole after driving into the oncoming lane and onto the sidewalk. The impact of the crash caused flying car debris to injure a pedestrian.
According to police, the pedestrian, who has not been identified, was taken to the hospital for treatment of a minor head injury; he has since been treated and released.
Richard Ochoa II was also transported to a nearby area hospital, however, his injuries are believed to be life-threatening. Despite improving, he remains in the hospital.
The driver, Adam Ceballos, was treated for minor injuries and then taken to the Potter County jail and booked for intoxication assault, after showing signs of alcohol intoxication.
