AUSTIN, TX (06/28/2015) — 43-year-old Kimberley Faye Green was killed after a drunk driver going the wrong way on Ed Bluestein Blvd crashed into her car.
According to Austin police, 43-year-old Kimberley Faye Green died a wrong way collision that occurred in the 5100 block of Ed Bluestein Boulevard, near E. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard (FM 969), in Austin, Texas early Sunday morning.
An arrest affidavit stated that just before 2:00 a.m., police received a call reporting a Chevrolet pickup truck—driven by 19-year-old Victor Ontiveros Flores—traveling the wrong way on Ed Bluestein Boulevard.
By the time officers located the vehicle, Flores had collided with Kimberley Green’s Ford Focus. Green died at the scene of the accident.
Officers stated that alcohol could be smelled on Flores’ breath, and he admitted to drinking “two beers” before the incident happened.
Flores has been charged with intoxication manslaughter. This crash remains under investigation.
