WHITNEY, TX (06/15/2016) — A motorcycle accident on Wednesday morning claimed the life of Edwin Farr Legendre.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), 67-year-old Edwin Farr Legendre was killed in a motorcycle crash located on FM 1713 near FM 933 in Whitney, Texas.
DPS reported that at around 6:00 a.m., Legendre was traveling eastbound on a 1995 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when a westbound 1993 Dodge pickup truck—driven by a 47-year-old man—pulled out in front of him and the two collided. The driver of the pickup truck was attempting to turn into a parking lot and failed to yield right-of-way to Legendre.
Officials stated that Edwin Legendre died at the scene.
According to DPS Trooper D.L. Wilson, this accident is currently under investigation.
