Ender Lopez died at the scene.
Garcia also struck two other teenage bystanders. They were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries and are expected to be okay.

Commentary
I expect that criminal charges will eventually be filed against those responsible for this young man’s death as the narrative seems to indicate that the accident was the result of reckless driving. I just hope that other teens will take this tragedy as a lesson. Driving is an enormous responsibility. One driver’s reckless actions can have tragic consequences—not only to the driver—but to innocent bystanders as well.
