BEEVILLE, TX (05/05/2016) — Eustolio Longoria was killed when a driver rear-ended his vehicle on Thursday afternoon.
The Texas Department of Public Safety identified 46-year-old Eustolio Jose Longoria (of Victoria) as the victim of a fatal three-vehicle car accident that occurred along Highway 59 in Beeville, Texas.
According to the DPS, at around 2:45 p.m., 35-year-old Colby Wallek (of Goliad) was traveling eastbound in a Dodge Ram when he failed to stop at a red light in a construction zone and slammed into Longoria’s 2012 Honda Civic and a black GMC SUV.
Longoria lost his life in the accident. The driver of the GMC was reportedly not injured in the crash.
DPS Trooper Nathan Brandley stated that Wallek was transported to Christus Spohn Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas for treatment of possibly life-threatening injuries.
Police are currently investigating to determine why Wallek did not stop his vehicle.
