PECOS, TX (05/12/2016) — A head-on collision involving a wrong way driver claimed the life of Felipe Guajardo on Thursday.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), 43-year-old Felipe Guajardo died after a head-on collision along Highway 285 in Pecos, Texas.
DPS reported that 45-year-old Celestino Cadina was attempting to pass a southbound truck in front of him by using the northbound lanes. During the maneuver, Cadina struck Guajardo’s vehicle head-on.
Guajardo lost his life at the scene. Cadina suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
This wreck remains under investigation by the DPS.
