GEORGETOWN, TX (08/06/2015) — Two people were killed, and one was critically injured, following a single vehicle crash on Thursday morning in Georgetown, Texas.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), two people have died following a single vehicle crash on Thursday morning at the intersection of Ronald Reagan Boulevard and County Road 3405 in Georgetown, Texas. One of those killed has been identified as 19-year-old passenger Ashley Foley. The driver, 32-year-old Steven Ragsdale (of Weir), was critically injured in the rollover accident.
The DPS stated that Ragsdale was traveling northbound on Ronald Reagan Boulevard in a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe at around 9:00 a.m., when for unknown reasons, his SUV drifted across the southbound lanes, left the roadway, went airborne, and landed on its roof underneath a bridge before catching fire.
According to witness accounts, Ragsdale was ejected and Good Samaritans were able to pull him away from the wreckage as the vehicle caught fire. He was transported to University Medical Center at Brackenridge in critical condition.
His two passengers, Ashley Foley and one yet-to-be-identified person, were both pronounced dead at the scene by a Williamson County Justice of the Peace.
