Last weekend on Friday night local radio host and sports personality Sean Bass was driving with his girlfriend Heather VanHoozer on Centerville Road. As they neared Glenbrook, a 2000 Ford Expedition coming from the opposite direction crossed the median and struck Sean Bass’ vehicle head-on. The Expedition hit the passenger’s side where 24-year-old Heather VanHoozer was sitting. She was taken to Baylor Hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. The Dallas Morning News published an obituary honoring Heather VanHoozer’s memory.
Sean Bass was also taken to the hospital but more recent reports indicate that he had only minor injuries. No injuries were reported for the driver of the Ford Expedition, Osvaldo Cerda. Cerda, age 18, has already been arrested by Garland police for intoxication manslaughter.
