As Fox 4 reported earlier today, a driver mistook the gas pedal for the brake and drove his / her vehicle into a Plano, TX flower shop. This isn’t the first time car accident attorney Jeff Rasansky has seen this phenomenon. Last month, we wrote about a shopper who hit the gas instead of the brake and drove into a Petland store near Preston and Forest Lane.
Thankfully, these two accidents will eventually be chalked up to “comical” – as no one was seriously injured in either incident. However, gas and brake confusion can have more harmful consequences. For example, a man at Indian Wells Tennis Garden was pinned to his car by an elderly woman who panicked when she hit the wrong pedal – causing her to floor the accelerator and severely damage the victim’s legs.
