FOREST HILL, TX (11/01/2015) — George and Beverly Moon were both killed in a drunk driving accident that also left two others injured early Sunday morning.
According to local authorities, 76-year-old George Moon and 63-year-old Beverly Moon were both killed, and two others were injured, following an accident on Sunday at the intersection of Richard Street and Hartman Road in Forest Hill, Texas.
Police stated that at around 3:00 a.m., 23-year-old Jose Salinas-Gomez was driving an SUV through a residential neighborhood when he collided with a sedan carrying four occupants.
“The driver of the SUV was arrested, and we’re pursuing an investigation for DWI at this point,” said Forest Hill police Capt. Steve Yancey. “Other charges could be pending depending on the results of the investigation.”
Two of the passengers inside the sedan, George and Beverly Moon, lost their lives in the wreckage. The driver and a 45-year-old passenger were transported to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas for treatment.
Salinas-Gomez has been charged with two counts of intoxication manslaughter and two counts of intoxication assault.
The exact cause of this fatal accident is currently unknown, but an investigation is ongoing.

Although the cause of the wreck has yet to be determined, it’s probably safe to say that the drunk driver’s negligence played a significant role.
