ABILENE, TX (04/12/2016) — Graciela Gonzales suffered serious injuries following a head-on collision on Tuesday evening.
According to Abilene police, 41-year-old Graciela Gonzales was left critically injured after a head-on car accident that occurred at the intersection of Antilley Road and Fairway Oaks Boulevard in Abilene, Texas.
Police reported that at around 9:15 p.m., Gonzales was traveling westbound in a silver Chevrolet HHR when she was struck by an eastbound Chevrolet Silverado, driven by 37-year-old Morgan Layton, who was attempting to make a turn.
A third pickup truck—driven by 39-year-old Jeremy Johnson—was clipped the wreckage.
Authorities stated that both Gonzales and Layton were taken to Hendrick Medical Center for treatment. Gonzales sustained serious injuries and remains in critical condition. Layton suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Johnson was not injured in the crash.
Police have not issued any citations at this time, however, this incident is being investigated.
