LUBBOCK, TX (06/11/2016) — Guillermo Valdez died, and Adela Ramos was injured, after a wrong way driver struck their vehicle on Saturday morning.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), 55-year-old Guillermo Valdez was killed following a fatal collision along Highway 214 (TX-214) in Lubbock, Texas.
DPS reports that 34-year-old Christopher Parker was traveling northbound in a 1999 Chevrolet pickup truck when he crossed the center line and struck a southbound vehicle, driven by Valdez.
“A 2004 Buick passenger car was southbound on State Highway 214. The Chevy pickup collided into the Buick,” a DPS statement read.
Valdez lost his life in the wreckage. His passenger, 54-year-old Adela Ramos was flown to University Medical Center with unknown injuries.
Parker was taken to Covenant Medical Center. His current condition is unknown.
This wreck remains under investigation.
