TATUM, TX (08/07/2015) – One man was injured, and another man was killed, after a head-on collision on Friday morning along Highway 43.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, 73-year-old James Ross (of Jacksonville) was injured, and 38-year-old Clint Canter was killed, following a two-vehicle, head-on collision on Highway 43 on Friday morning in Tatum, Texas.
Authorities state that at around 6:30 a.m., Canter was traveling southbound on Highway 43 when for unknown reasons he swerved across the center line and into the path of an oncoming pickup truck driven by James Ross.
According to the DPS, Ross tried to avoid the crash, but was unsuccessful. The two vehicles collided head-on, and Canter was killed.
James Ross was transported to a nearby area hospital with unknown injuries.
