HOCKLEY COUNTY, TX (06/21/2015) — A wrong way, head-on collision claimed the lives of 42-year-old Victoria Husemann and 51-year-old Rose Mary Tienda on Sunday night.
According to Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers, Rose Mary Tienda, 51, and Victoria Husemann 42, both died at the scene of a head-on collision Sunday evening on U.S. 385 near Whitharral, Texas.
Reportedly, Tienda was traveling southbound on U.S. 385 in a 2000 Chevy Suburban when she veered left and began traveling southbound in the northbound lanes.
Tienda swerved back toward the southbound lanes, but not before crashing into a 2012 Chevy Cruze, driven by 42-year-old Victoria Husemann, head on. The collision forced the Suburban upright, and caused the Chevy Cruze to spin before landing upright on the shoulder of the highway.
Both Tienda and Husemann died at the scene of the accident.
This crash remains under investigation by the DPS.
