Commentary
Though the investigation is still incomplete, the driver of the pickup truck could face serious criminal charges in addition to any civil claims brought by the victims’ family. His responsibly as a driver was to ensure that the roadway was clear of other vehicles, including motorcycles, before entering traffic. His reckless decision cost two people their lives, and left five young children without their parents.
