MONTGOMERY, TX (06/04/2016) — A fatal motorcycle crash on Saturday night claimed the lives of Henry Richardson and his wife, LeeAnn Richardson.
Authorities have identified 50-year-old Henry Richardson and 48-year-old LeeAnn Richardson as the victims of a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred along Highway 105 and Walden Road in Montgomery, Texas.
According to Department of Public Safety Trooper Erik Burse, at around 8:50 p.m., the 50-year-old male driver of a white Dodge pickup truck failed to yield right-of-way to the Richardson’s motorcycle as he exited the parking lot of a Whataburger restaurant on SH 105.
The two vehicles collided, ejecting the motorcyclists from their bike.
Both Henry and his wife LeeAnn were pronounced dead at the scene. They are survived by their five children, all of whom are under the age of 11.
The driver of the Dodge was transported to Conroe Regional Medical Center in stable condition.
This accident is being investigated.
Though the investigation is still incomplete, the driver of the pickup truck could face serious criminal charges in addition to any civil claims brought by the victims’ family. His responsibly as a driver was to ensure that the roadway was clear of other vehicles, including motorcycles, before entering traffic. His reckless decision cost two people their lives, and left five young children without their parents.
