FORT WORTH, TX (06/25/2015) — A Hispanic man in his 40’s died after his van was broadsided by a driver who sped through a stop sign.
According to Fort Worth Police, a Hispanic man in his 40’s was killed on Thursday night following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Lubbock Avenue and Yates Street, near McCart Avenue and Interstate 20, in Fort Worth, Texas.
According to reports, emergency crews responded to the scene just after 8:00 p.m. to find that a Hummer SUV had been speeding and ran a stop sign before broadsiding a van traveling westbound on Yates Street.
The male driver of the van died at the scene.
The collision caused the Hummer to rollover, however, the driver and passenger only suffered minor injuries.
This accident remains under investigation. At this time, it is unknown whether criminal charges will be filed.
