WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX (01/21/2018) — A fiery crash on Highway 95 Sunday night left two people dead, and thee others in serious condition.
According to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, police responded to the scene of the accident on State Highway 95, about 3 miles south of Bartlett, at 6:14 p.m. Sunday evening.
Officials say that a 21-year-old man was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu sedan southbound on SH 95, when for unknown reasons, his car veered across the center yellow line and collided with an oncoming 2001 Dodge 1500 pickup truck being driven by 44-year-old Hubert Klepac (of Bartlett). One of the vehicles caught fire as a result of the collision, resulting in road closures in both directions for several hours.
Both drivers were pronounced deceased at the scene, and thee additional occupants of the Dodge pickup truck (42-year-old Jennifer Klepac, an 8-year-old boy, and a 5-year-old girl) were transported to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple and McLane Children’s Hospital in Temple in serious condition.
