If you own a Honda manufactured between 2001 and 2002, your airbag system may cause injury or death and you should be aware of another recent recall.
Honda Motor Company has announced yet another recall due to a problem with their airbag systems. Approximately 304,000 vehicles worldwide may have faulty airbag systems that inflate with too much pressure. This problem has occurred in at least 20 accidents and has already caused two deaths in the U.S.
According to Honda, the recall affects 273,000 vehicles in the U.S., including the Accord, Pilot, CR-V, Odyssey and other Honda models.
The recall is an extension of previous recalls in 2008, 2009 and 2010. With as many as 2 million vehicles affected worldwide, Honda feels the company has accounted for all faulty, dangerous airbag systems.
If you own a Honda that falls within the recall, you are strongly encouraged to heed the warnings and have your vehicle inspected.
If you or somebody you know has been seriously injured due to this dangerous problem, you should contact an attorney immediately to discuss your legal options.
