AUSTIN, TX (04/06/2016) — Passenger Ismael Barvosa was killed in a single-vehicle car accident on Wednesday.
According to Austin police, 20-year-old Ismael Barvosa Jr. died following a single-vehicle accident that occurred in the 5100 block of Ponciana Drive in Austin, Texas.
Police reported that 20-year-old Matias Junior Valle was traveling southbound in a Honda Civic when he left the roadway and struck a utility pole.
Barvosa, Valle’s passenger, was pronounced dead at the scene. Valle was transported to University Medical Center at Brackenridge Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officials stated that neither man was wearing a seat belt at the time of the wreck.
Valle has been charged with intoxication manslaughter.
This accident remains under investigation.
