CANYON LAKE, TX (07/16/2015) — Meals on Wheels Volunteer, 68-year-old Janet Wilson, lost her life after a head-on collision last Thursday.
According to reports, 68-year-old Janet Wilson (a four-year Meals on Wheels Volunteer) has died following a head-on collision on FM 2673 at Island View Drive in Canyon Lake, Texas this past Thursday.
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) stated that the driver who struck Wilson’s vehicle was distracted and drove into Wilson’s lane. Wilson was on her way to pick up meals to deliver to the elderly when the crash occurred.
Wilson was airlifted to Santa Rosa Hospital, where she later died.
“The community lost a true treasure; she invested her life in many different parts of this community,” said Maureen Schein, Meals on Wheels Program Director.
Wilson leaves behind a husband and two sons.
