DALLAS, TX (04/16/2015) — Jesus Alonzo Gonzalez has died, and two others have been hospitalized following a chain reaction car accident involving four vehicles on Interstate 635 Wednesday evening.
Officials were called to the scene of an auto accident on westbound Interstate 635 near Preston Road last night at around 6:30 p.m. According to reports, the accident began when the driver of a Volkswagen struck a disabled Dodge Neon which was reportedly in a lane of traffic. As a result of the first collision, two additional vehicles (both Chevrolet pickup trucks) also collided with the disabled Dodge Neon.
All three occupants of the Dodge Neon were injured and transported to area hospitals. The driver was taken to Texas Health Presbyterian in stable condition, a back-seat passenger was was taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital in stable condition, and another passenger (18-year-old Jesus Alonzo Gonzalez) was transported to Medical City Dallas Hospital where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.
