GEORGETOWN, TX (08/18/2016) — John Martin was killed in a two-vehicle, t-bone wreck on Thursday afternoon.
According to authorities, 42-year-old John David Martin died due to a side-impact collision that occurred on the frontage road of Interstate 35 and Williams Drive in Georgetown, Texas.
The Georgetown Police Department (GPD) reported that shortly before 3:30 p.m., Martin was traveling eastbound on Williams Drive in a 2010 Nissan Cube when his vehicle was broadsided by the 33-year-old male driver of 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe Z71.
The Nissan rolled over and came to rest on its roof. Martin did not survive the crash.
Police suspect that the driver of the Chevrolet may have run a red light shortly before the accident. An investigation is ongoing.
