GILMER, TX (06/03/2016) — A car wreck on Friday claimed the life of Haley Johnson, and left Cameron Johnson, Alecia Allen, and Robert Frazier injured.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), a two-vehicle collision along Highway 154 in Gilmer, Texas killed 19-year-old Haley Johnson, and injured 17-year-old Cameron Johnson, and 17-year-old Alecia Allen.
DPS Troopers reported that 23-year-old Robert Frazier was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of the highway in a 1991 Chevrolet 1500 as a westbound 2013 Kia Soul—driven by Russell—approached.
To avoid a collision, Russell veered left at which time Frazier veered right; the two vehicles then crashed.
Haley Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene. Cameron Johnson, a passenger in the Kia, was taken to Longview Regional Hospital for treatment. The third passenger, Alecia Allen, was transported to Good Shepard Hospital. Authorities stated that Frazier was also taken to Longview Region Hospital for treatment.
This accident remains under investigation.
