COLLEGE STATION, TX (02/12/2016) — A Friday morning car accident claimed the life of Josie Coverdale, an Animal Science faculty member at Texas A&M University.
According to authorities, 38-year-old Dr. Josie Coverdale was killed in a two-vehicle collision that occurred at the intersection of Harvey Mitchell Parkway and Raymond Stotzer Parkway in College Station, Texas.
College Station police reported at that around 7:41 a.m. Friday morning, 25-year-old Tucker Ford was traveling northbound in a Ford Explorer on Harvey Mitchell, attempting to make a left turn onto Raymond Stotzer.
Ford failed to yield right-of-way and turned in front of Coverdale’s 2011 Ford Fusion, causing a collision.
Coverdale, who worked for the Department of Animal Science at Texas A&M University, passed away Saturday afternoon.
College Station police are currently investigating this fatal accident.
