CORPUS CHRISTI, TX (12/18/2016) — A hit and run motorcycle accident on Sunday morning claimed the life of Justin Quintero.
Police identified 22-year-old Justin “Q” Quintero as the victim of a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred at the intersection of Devon Drive and Gollihar Road (near Fannin Elementary School) in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Authorities reported that at around 1:00 a.m., the driver of a Jeep was traveling down Gollihar Road when he or she turned onto Devon Drive. During the turn, the driver failed to yield right-of-way to two oncoming motorcyclists, causing both riders to collide with the passenger side of the vehicle.
The Jeep was later found abandoned, and police are still searching for the driver.
Quintero, identified as one of the motorcyclists, was taken to Christus Spohn Memorial Hospital with severe head trauma. Unfortunately, he later died from his injuries. The other motorcyclist is expected to be okay.
