CROSBYTON, TX (12/30/2016) — A wrong way accident on Friday injured the Kohut family and one other person.
According to authorities, 55-year-old Wayne Kohut, 52-year-old Carrie Kohut, 22-year-old Emily Kohut and 18-year-old Ben Kohut all suffered injuries following a two-vehicle crash on County Road 153 in Crosbyton, Texas.
Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers reported that Jeffery Thomas Poole was traveling southbound in a 2013 Mazda when he attempted to pass in a no-passing zone, causing the collision.
The four members of the Kohut family (from Colorado Springs) all sustained injuries; their current conditions are unknown. Poole was flown to Shannon Medical Center.
This accident remains under investigation.
