SAN ANTONIO, TX (11/13/2016) — A head-on collision involving a suspected drunk driver on Sunday morning claimed the life of Lauren Patrick.
Authorities have identified 27-year-old Lauren Patrick (of San Antonio) as the victim of a wrong way crash that occurred on Highway 281 near St. Mary’s Street in San Antonio, Texas.
Police reported that at around 5:30 a.m., a man was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of the highway when he collided with Patrick’s vehicle head-on.
Patrick had to be extricated from her car, but was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The (yet-to-be-identified) male driver who caused the wreck was given a field sobriety test and arrested. He faces an intoxication manslaughter charge.
This incident remains under investigation.
