LUBBOCK, TX (08/18/2015) – One adult and child were killed, and one adult and child were injured, following a single-vehicle rollover crash on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Lubbock Police Department (LPD), a single vehicle crash on Idalou Road at Parkway Drive claimed the lives of Tazmin Allyse Castillo, 21, and the left rear passenger, 2-year-old Alina Trevino, on Tuesday afternoon in Lubbock, Texas.
LPD stated that at around 3:19 p.m., a 2005 Ford Explorer was traveling eastbound on Idalou Road when the vehicle had a blowout and rolled into an embankment at 3600 Parkway Drive.
The driver, Tazmin Castillo, and two-year-old Alina Trevino were both partially ejected from the Explorer. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
According to police, the two other occupants, 22-year-old Andrew Paul Trevino and his 1-year-old son (also named Andrew Paul Trevino), were transported to University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
All occupants were wearing seat belts or were in child restraint systems at the time of the crash.
The Lubbock Police Department’s Accident Investigation Team continues to investigate this fatal crash.
