CARROLLTON, TX (07/26/2015) — 18-year-old good samaritan Luis Mario Aleman-Mendoza was killed after a multi-vehicle crash on Sunday.
Authorities have confirmed that 18-year-old Luis Mario Aleman-Mendoza has died following a multi-vehicle car accident in the 2400 block of Interstate 35 in Carrollton, Texas on Sunday.
According to reports, two separate accidents occurred on I-35, involving a total of four vehicles. The first incident had already occurred when Aleman-Mendoza’s family stopped to help the occupants of the vehicles. While they were at the scene, Tristan Harris, 32, struck Aleman-Mendoza on the highway.
Police stated that Aleman-Mendoza was transported to the Medical Center of Lewisville, where he later died.
Lewisville Lt. Scott Haynes stated that Harris was arrested for intoxication assault with serious bodily harm. His unidentified passenger was transported to Texas Health Presbyterian of Plano with unknown injuries.
