NORMANGEE, TX (08/28/2016) — A wreck on Sunday night killed Mahabubul and Safina Shourov and injured Laura Olvera and Shadab Shourov.
According to authorities, 57-year-old Mahabubul Shourov, 48-year-old Safina Shourov (both of Elmhurst, NY), and 27-year-old Carlos Lopez died in a two-vehicle accident that occurred on Highway 39 in Normangee, Texas.
Officials stated at shortly before 10:30 p.m., 27-year-old Carlos Lopez was traveling northbound when he crossed into southbound traffic and struck a passenger car, driven by Shadab Shourov.
Shadab Shourov was taken to a nearby area hospital for treatment of critical injuries. His two passengers—Mahabubul and Safina Shourov—lost their lives in the wreckage.
Lopez also died in the crash. His passenger, 24-year-old Laura Olvera was transported to a hospital in serious condition.
This accident remains under investigation.
