KOSSE, TX (02/28/2017) — Two women are dead and one man is hospitalized following an 18-wheeler accident in Limestone County Tuesday evening.
Police identified 52-year-old Malina Bishop (of Goodrich) and 32-year-old Crystal Bennet (of Montgomery) as the two fatal victim of an 18-wheeler wreck that occurred on Highway 7 in Limestone County, about four miles east of Kosse, Texas.
Authorities reported that at around 8:00 p.m., Bennet was traveling eastbound in a 2003 Pontiac when she allegedly crossed into westbound traffic and collided with an 18-wheeler, driven by 64-year-old Larry Ditgen (of Harker Heights).
Bennet and her passenger, Bishop, both died upon impact. Ditgen was injured and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
An investigation is underway.
