MIDLAND, TX (05/28/2016) — A wrong way driver caused an accident that claimed the life of Manuel Navarrete on Saturday.
According to authorities, 41-year-old Manuel Dominguez Navarrete was killed following a two-vehicle collision that occurred along Highway 349 (TX-349) in Midland, Texas.
Police reported that 45-year-old Juan Jose Amaya was traveling northbound in a tractor trailer when he crossed into oncoming lanes of traffic and collided with Navarrete’s 2014 Ford F-250.
Navarrete was transported to a nearby area hospital, where he later died.
Troopers are investigating this accident.
