KENNARD, TX (06/26/2016) — Mariaah Lopez and Brendan Galloway died following a rollover crash that also injured Haley Henry.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), an accident on FM 357 in Kennard, Texas killed 17-year-old Mariaah Lopez and 22-year-old Brendan Galloway.
The DPS reported that at around 4:00 a.m., 18-year-old Austin Cline Catoe was traveling northbound in a 2016 Chevrolet pickup truck when he left the roadway, rolled over, and struck several trees.
Catoe had three occupants in his vehicle at the time: Lopez, Galloway, and 19-year-old Haley Henry.
Officials stated that Lopez was pronounced deceased at the scene. Galloway was taken to Houston County Medical Center, where he later died.
Henry was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital for treatment; Catoe was also taken to Houston County Medical Center, where he was treated and released.
This accident is under investigation.
