FORT WORTH, TX (11/23/2015) — A multi-vehicle accident involving two 18-wheelers and several other passenger vehicles on Monday killed Mark Boland and left four others injured.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), 66-year-old Mark Boland was killed, and four other people were injured, following a major accident along Interstate 35W in Fort Worth, Texas.
DPS reported that at around 11:15 a.m., two 18-wheelers, a flat bed truck, a tanker, and three passenger vehicles all collided in the 9600 block of I-35W at Heritage Trace Parkway. Further details of what may have caused the accident were not revealed.
According to MedStar spokesman Matt Zavadsky, 66-year-old Mark Boland was killed, two people were taken to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, one person was transported to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth, and another person was taken to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Alliance.
Two victims remain in critical condition, and the other two are in serious condition.
This fatal wreck remains under investigation.
