Bedford, Texas — 54-year-old Michael Gonzales has died following an early-Friday-morning (11/22/2013) motorcycle accident on Texas 183.
According to Bedford Police, Michael Gonzales, of Grapevine, was driving eastbound on Texas 183 / Airport Freeway (near the 1200 block) in Bedford when he lost control of his motorcycle. His motorcycle struck the orange construction barrels, causing him to crash into a concrete barrier near the entrance to the freeway. Mr. Gonzales was pronounced dead at around 2:00 a.m. by the Tarrant County Medical Eaminer’s office. Further details have not been released, but police are conducting an investigation.
From the looks of the area (see Google StreetView below), I would not be surprised one bit if the massive amount of construction contributed heavily to this accident.
